Information and Referral (I&R)/211

AIRSInformation and Referral (I&R) services are the link between people and community organizations. Many people find it difficult to navigate the maze of community resources and government agencies. I&R specialists assess caller’s needs and determine the best service provider to meet their needs. We maintain a comprehensive database of local, state, and federal agencies and programs who offer assistance with the following:

  • Basic human services: food, clothing, shelter, rental assistance, utility assistance
  • Physical and mental health resources: medical information lines, crisis intervention, support groups, counseling, drug and alcohol treatment, Medicaid/Medicare, maternal health, children’s health, insurance
  • Employment support services: unemployment benefits, financial assistance, job training, transportation assistance, education programs
  • Support for senior and persons with disabilities: home health care, adult day care, meal services, respite care, transportation, homemaker services
  • Programs for children, youth, families: childcare, afterschool programs, Head Start, family resource centers, recreation pro-grams, mentoring, tutoring, protective services
  • Volunteer opportunities and donations
  • Support for community crisis or disaster recovery

Emergency Mental Health Assessments

We provide Emergency Mental Health Assessments 24 hours a day for people in the community in need of crisis intervention. CCC also provides a safe and comfortable place to come for evaluation and assessment of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 10-bed facility located in Napoleon, Ohio. Professional mental health providers, who help patients through a crisis, staff the CSU 24 hours a day. The CSU provides a homelike setting with warm, caring staff who work with you and your loved ones to get you back on your feet. The CSU is available for a brief stay where you can receive group and individual counseling and medication management by mental heath professionals.
