Teen Line began in April of 1999; as a result of a collaborative community effort to help teens better manage life situations. We realize youth today are faced with numerous challenges that affect their health and well being. Teen Line offers Northwest Ohio youth a confidential and anonymous means of expressing their thoughts and feelings while receiving information and support.

Overdose-Reversing Medicine to Be Available to All High Schools

Last week, charity organizations and drug manufacturers announced a partnership to provide the drug naloxone to any American high school that wants it. Naloxone is a life-saving drug that reverses the effects of overdosing on opioids like heroin or prescription painkillers. Earlier efforts have increased the availability of naloxone on college campuses. Teen heroin use has been increasing, and heroin overdoses have more than tripled over the past five years.
